\"\"<\/a>Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! \u00a0As many of us are gathering with family and friends to celebrate this holiday of harvest and thanks – many of our own fellow puppeteers are also taking part of the day to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. \u00a0Whether it be as a hand-and-rod puppeteer on the Sesame Street Float, a Walk-Around character, a puppet wrangler, or more… \u00a0puppeteers are an integral part of this holiday tradition. \u00a0In fact, the giant balloons that the parade is so famous for, were designed by Tony Sarg himself. \u00a0This year, a new book by Melissa Sweet tells the story behind these lovely creations – Balloons over Broadway: \u00a0The True Story of the Puppeteer of Macy’s Parade<\/a>.<\/p>\n
