Now that Sleepy July is almost over, it’s time to register for THE GREAT PLAINS PUPPET TRAIN Sept. 20-23 in West Liberty, Iowa. \u00a0Check the website for performances (a fabulous line-up), workshops, and other details! \u00a0We’ve extended the deadline for early registration to\u00a0August 15<\/span>.<\/strong><\/div>\n

NEWSFLASH<\/span>!\u00a0\u00a0The first Festival Motel (the Presidential Inn in West Branch) is full! \u00a0We’re now reserving rooms at the second Festival Motel, the Super Eight in Muscatine, Iowa\u00a0(563-263-9100<\/a>, also for $45.00 a night for up to 3 people. \u00a0Muscatine is about 15 miles south of West Liberty. \u00a0If you’re flying in, we’ll make sure you have transportation to and from the motel! \u00a0If you’re driving,please consider sharing<\/em>!\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
If you’d rather, you can stay in a fully equipped camper, loaned by a local resident, on the West Liberty Fairgrounds (just a 10 minute walk from downtown). \u00a0The cost s $15.00 a night for the hook-up, and the campers sleep up to 6 people. \u00a0OR you can stay with a local resident. \u00a0Please let us know ASAP if you’d like to take advantage of either of these options!<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

ACCOMMODATIONS<\/strong><\/div>\n
The $45.00 motel rooms are available through the end of July (beware: prices go way up August 15th!).<\/div>\n
If you like camping, we have an excellent campsite only a 10 minute walk from the festival location.\u00a0 You can even borrow a camper from one of our generous local residents!<\/div>\n

SCHEDULE
\nThursday: \u00a0<\/strong>The festival starts the evening of Sept. 20 with supper and a performance.<\/div>\n
Friday: \u00a0<\/strong>will include workshops, performances in\u00a0our opera house<\/a>\u00a0, a catered dinner, and a Puppet Slam.<\/div>\n
Saturday:\u00a0<\/strong>will feature the West Liberty Children’s Festival, complete with five puppet performances and lots of street food and activities, and will end with a delicious catered dinner and another performance.<\/div>\n
Sunday:\u00a0<\/strong>breakfast, one more performance, and farewells to friends, old and new!<\/div>\n
