Occupy Movement Puppets – Tampa, FL

Giant puppets have often been used in protest movements.  Many will immediately think of Bread and Puppet, the Glover, VT based troupe whose cheap art aesthetic can often be seen in marches in New England and beyond.  The OWS Puppet Guild of New York City also has been quite active, creating giant puppet spectacles, including Lady Liberty.  This recent article from the Tampa Bay Times talks about Tampa’s local occupy movement and the puppets that are being built as a part of it.  You can check out the article here:  TampaBay.com
